Our team members are Jaime Gutierrez, Alicia Lopez, Guadalupe Juarez Rodriguez, and Yesenia Lopez Ibarra (and our kids). It all started about 8 years ago with a 20x20 community garden that we each had but it wasn’t until 2021 that we decided to expand the garden and work together. Alicia was the one who initially came up with the idea to go bigger and to be able to produce more for us and the community. Another reason we decided to go bigger was because we were already buying more organic produce.

After reflecting on last year, we were glad we were able to can our own pickled peppers, spaghetti sauce, and storage onions for all winter long. We felt growing onions, peppers, tomatillos, and cabbage were some of our favorite crops. We felt blessed to enjoy every single produce coming from our garden to our table.

We are not certified organic, but we use organic methods. We use organic seeds and plant seedlings that have never been treated with substances prohibited in organic production. When dealing with pest and disease we like to keep it as natural as possible, however, when needed we use organic products to deal with stubborn weeds/disease but still treating the plant as naturally as possible.
